The popularity of blood routine tests, biochemical tests, and imaging examinations continues to increase, and the concept of early screening and early intervention has become deeply ingrained in people's minds.
Chain pet hospitals continue to expand, reshaping the landscape of the medical industry. Capital accelerates its deployment in chain diagnostic and treatment institutions, with standardized diagnostic and treatment processes, transparent pricing, and professional veterinary teams becoming the core competitiveness of chain brands. Meanwhile, specialized subdivisions continue to develop, with cat urinary tract specialties, dentistry, and cardiac specialties gradually becoming independent, and long-term management services for chronic diseases in elderly cats rapidly emerging.
According to data from Tianyancha Professional Edition, as of now, there are over 1.107 million pet healthcare-related enterprises in existence and operating in China. Among them, approximately 123,000 new registered enterprises have been added since the beginning of 2026. Looking at the trend of enterprise registration numbers, the registration of pet healthcare-related enterprises has shown a yearly increase over the past five years, reaching its peak in 2025.
In terms of regional distribution, Guangdong Province, Zhejiang Province, and Fujian Province rank top in the number of pet healthcare-related enterprises, with over 156,000, 88,000, and 85,000 respectively. Henan Province and Shandong Province follow closely behind.
